My Qualifications

I’m a specialist career coach and not a life coach who also coaches on careers! I have qualified as an Associate Certified Career Coach with the Career Coach Institute and I’m also a licensed Firework Career Coach and aim to combine the best of both these programmes.   

I’m also a qualified accountant (ACMA) and completed an MBA at Strathclyde Graduate Business School in 2000.

Career History

I’ve had a varied career history to date and have made some big changes which means that I can relate to you if you’re thinking of changing career, looking for a new job or trying to get a promotion.

Accountancy – I’ve worked in various financial roles for Babcock Construction (engineering company), Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and National Air Traffic Services and have worked in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Zurich and London.

Own Business – After completing the MBA, I set up my JJM Property Services offering a range of services for buy to let investors. I loved the challenge of growing an enterprise from scratch and learnt so much from this experience. Having built up this business I decided to accept an offer for the management of the letting portfolio.

Social Enterprise - After selling my business, I was looking for my next venture and became very interested in businesses that have social objectives. I therefore secured a position with CEiS to work as a consultant offering enterprise support to a range of social economy organisations.
